First I would like to express my deep gratitude to W/o Meaza and Ato Teferi Alemu for launching the best FM Radio in Ethiopia. Of course, it needs improvement. Among my favorite programmes are TIZITA ZEARADA, YECHEWATA INGEDA, SHEGER CAFÉ, YEZEBOT TEREK,LISANE GE'EZ, SHEGER SHELF/In particular, the uniqie narration of JARSO MOT BYNOR/. The program I am disinterested in is those from VOA. You may have target audience. Honestly speaking and when I see it in national perspective,the programme does not add much value unless you're using it to cover certain air time and the contact may help the Radio Station as a whole.
Having said this, let me pass to my subject. Sheger, I think is not an exception to this problem. It is a common problem of all medias(electronic and print) in Ethiopia. I am not a journalist. I am a lawyer by profession. But I feel that a journalist should read correctly whatever items he is going to transmit ...

Sheger Cafe program is perhaps one of the best programs that you have on the radio. of course I also love Sheger Shelf program a lot and always eager to listen more out of it.
While I was listening Sheger cafe's previous recorded programs from the site, one thing grabbed my attention. I like the issues that have been brought to the table I also appreciate the fact and the opinion that are given by intellectual and educated guests. How ever the conversation between the guests is not balanced. In my opinion Woizerit Elsabeth Woldegiorgis seems the one who always dominate the discussion (about 70%). don't get me wrong I like her intellectual and clever ideal and factual informations . I am also learning a lot from her. at the same time I want to listen more from other gusts that are around the table. I think it is better to balance between each guests.

You seem to have been engaged yourself with targeting the Ethiopian Diaspora as your audience.This is because instead of broadening your coverage here in Ethiopia, you are advertising that you have made it possible for the audience to listen the radio in internet. Your advertisement in the web clearly indicate that your target is the Ethiopian Diaspora which I think is not appropriate. The motto it is all about should give precedence to Ethiopians living here who do not have access to a range of media outlets in this country or internet connection. I live in an area called GORO School, passing YERER BER. A contractor under the name ENEY has cut the road that leads to our quarter and for the last 12 days we could not get access to our area. We have tried to contact the kebele, edir, police to help - there is no solution. Can Sheger FM help us address this issue? After all Sheger is about us.

The program is really cool but i don´t know why it stops for a while and then it starts. The same thing happenes always. Please if u can fix it make sure that it won´t happen atleast always.
I and my friend usually follow ur program and it is really intereEting and also makes us feel at home (ethiopia) and have plan to share what we have specially in literature side like short story and poems as well us online wiyiyit.
By the way some times your program is off and on and one can not follow the whole program...please do something...today you had very interesting ye literature wiyiyit but it was off...

I am really proud to call Sheger radio as true portrait journalism.
I love all your programs in fact we all do (my friends) because the way you present all your program is in a very simple and interesting way which I am sure everybody agrees. The other uniqueness of your station is that you have a very wide audience children, youth and adults, which makes the station as the most popular station in the country at least until I came to the US. I think being neutral and conveying the interest of the people is what any journalism should do which in your case is one of your strong side.
I am really glad that Sheger decided to use the other most powerful medium, the internet. I just want to say “Bertu” because now you have the bigger and wider listeners around the world.

I would like to say 'keep up the good job' of being an alternative to hitherto one-sided media in Ethiopia. It is refreshing to hear an alternative view on the news coverage. I follow current affairs especially local news. I have to be honest though; your local news is not enough for me, try to cover more local events. Another program which I am a fan is 'Yazebot Terek' which I don't miss especially if it is long story. Please go for the long stories whenever possible and if not please try not to repeat stories (which occurs from time to time for the short ones). Otherwise, keep it up and you have so many enjoyable programs which are refreshing and enjoyable.
